Summer is officially here, with Summer Solstice falling on Friday, June 20th. At our last Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board passed its 2025-26 Budget, which stands at $10.8 billion. This balanced budget ensures the continued delivery of essential county services to our constituents, which I discussed on TV and radio this past week. I look forward to all the summer concerts and community events the Third District has in store! Have a safe and fun Independence Day! |

ORANGE COUNTY APPROVES PILOT PROGRAM WITH CLEAR AT JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT |
ORANGE COUNTY APPROVES PILOT PROGRAM WITH CLEAR AT JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT |
 |
At Tuesday's Board meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved a new pilot program at John Wayne Airport with AlClear, LLC — operator of CLEAR, a biometric identity verification service. The one-year pilot will introduce CLEAR as a complimentary service to TSA PreCheck, offering travelers an expedited and more convenient security screening experience. CLEAR uses biometric technology, such as fingerprint or iris scans, to verify passengers’ identities, allowing them to bypass manual ID checks and proceed directly to a streamlined physical screening. Kiosks and enrollment stations will be installed near Terminal B, with CLEAR representatives on-site to assist travelers. The service, already available at 59 airports nationwide including LAX and San Diego, currently serves 80,000 members in Orange County. This agreement gives John Wayne Airport passengers additional screening options, enhances traveler experience, and generates revenue for the airport. |
