Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. Please share it with any of your friends who might be interested in the county and what we can do to be helpful. As we close out the month of April, my office has been busy partaking in informative tours of both the Port of Los Angeles as well as the new OC VIBE development underway in Anaheim. Vice Chair Foley and I also recognized April 24 as Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, and I had the opportunity to join "Let's Talk Real Estate with Barry Saywitz", a popular local podcast where we discussed a number of local issues in Orange County. Here’s to a wonderful month ahead in May! |

I recently joined the Barry Saywitz Podcast to discuss a number of local issues facing Orange County, including transportation, public safety, and homelessness, as a well as my background in elected office. TOUR OF THE YORBA LINDA LDS TEMPLE

TOUR OF THE YORBA LINDA LDS TEMPLE
|
I toured the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’s recently completed Yorba Linda California Temple. There are only eight temples in California, and only two in Orange County: Newport Beach and now Yorba Linda in the Third District. The temple is a beautiful and meaningful addition to our community, and we know many residents from across Orange County will find inspiration, peace, and connection within it. |

ARMENIAN GENOCIDE REMEMBRANCE DAY |
On Tuesday, Vice Chair Foley and I presented a resolution recognizing April 24 as Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. Orange County is home to a large, vibrant, and culturally rich Armenian American community whose members contribute significantly to the civic, cultural, educational, and economic life of the County. I encourage all residents of Orange County to observe this day through education, reflection, and commemoration. |

My Policy Advisor, George Boutros, recently toured the Port of Los Angeles along with several Regional Council Members of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). This tour provided insight on the ins-and-outs of the Port of LA and the significant role it plays in international trade and commerce – especially as it relates to the impacts the Port has on transit corridors throughout the nation. Thank you to all those at the Port of LA and SCAG for putting together this insightful meeting and tour. |

My staff attended a tour of OCVIBE, a $5 billion project now under construction around the Honda Center in Anaheim. It is an incredible project. This 100 acre mixed use project includes three miles of walkable trails traversing 20 acres of open space and connecting to dining and destinations, including a planned outdoor public art gallery. OCVibe will also build 1,500 residential units, two hotels, a concert venue, and more than one million square feet of office space. |

With over 700 volunteers completing 38 service projects, the event was a remarkable success. I am honored to have been a sponsor of this incredible event and to have two of my representatives, Pat Buttress & Amanda Casillas, present at my booth at the morning kick-off. ANTIS ROOFING AND WATERPROOFING BLOOD DRIVE

Antis Roofing & Waterproofing celebrated its 200th blood drive with great fanfare! With the Red Cross of Orange County, Antis hosts multiple blood drives each month at its corporate offices, and as a result, 4,700 units of blood have been collected since it began hosting drives during the pandemic. None of this would have been possible without the enthusiastic support of company founder and CEO Charles Antis and his team. Congratulations to them on reaching this incredible milestone and for their ongoing commitment to saving lives. |
