Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. Please share it with any of your friends who might be interested in the county and what we can do to be helpful. Earlier this month, I hosted a fire safety townhall for the residents of the Third District, and was joined by public safety professionals from the OC Fire Authority, OC Sheriff's Department, SoCal Edison, and UC Irvine. We had an incredible turnout and strong engagement from attendees. I also had the opportunity to join as a guest for the Abbatial Blessing Mass of Father Abbot John Caronan, the new Abbot at Saint Michael's Abbey in Silverado Canyon. This event received international attention and drew Catholic Clergy from around the world, including Cardinal Raymond Burke, who flew in from Rome to officiate the blessing. As a regular parishioner of the Abbey and the local elected representative for this monastic community, I couldn't be more honored to attend this occasion. As we enter the fall season and the long-awaited cool weather, I look forward to October! |

At Tuesday's Board of Supervisor's meeting, the Board recognized September as Service Club Month, a time to recognize all of the charitable efforts of Orange County’s nonprofit organizations and charities that support making this County a better place. I want to thank Rotary District Governor Monica Peters for joining us and representing the dozens of wonderful service clubs throughout Orange County. For over a century, these service clubs have spearheaded impactful initiatives, including education, scholarships, food bank distributions, donations to homeless shelters, community development projects, disaster relief, and more.
Over the decades, these service clubs have become a staple in our community, elevating countless individuals through scholarships, leadership training, and outreach, continually shaping the future of Orange County. We are incredibly grateful for all the work that these selfless volunteers do for our community every day.
Service Club Month honors the Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Lions, Elks Lodges, Exchange Clubs, Assistance League Organizations, and Women’s Clubs of Orange County, and so many more organizations that serve our community.

ABBATIAL BLESSING AT SAINT MICHAEL'S ABBEY |
 |
 |
 |
On Monday, I joined the Abbatial Blessing Mass for the Right Reverend John Caronan, the new Abbot for Norbertines of St. Michael's Abbey in Silverado. The reputation of Saint Michael’s Abbey is so renowned that Cardinal Raymond Burke flew in from Rome to officiate the Abbatial Blessing Mass.
After the Mass, I presented Father Abbot Caronan with a certificate of recognition in celebration of his new role as Abbot of Saint Michael’s Abbey.
I also had the honor of meeting his Eminence, Cardinal Burke. The presence of Saint Michael’s Abbey and the Norbertine priests has been a blessing for Orange County’s Catholic community, and a special place for myself, as a regular parishioner of this church.
Thank you to Abbot John and the Norbertine Order for inviting me to share the day with you.
The Abbey is in good hands with Father Abbot Caronan, a man deeply dedicated to upholding the sacred traditions of the Catholic Church.
I wish you all the blessings and good tidings in your continued ministry.

WOODBRIDGE VILLAGE ASSOCIATION 50TH ANNIVERSARY |
 |
My Field Representative, Al Tello, presented a proclamation on my behalf to the Board of Directors of the Woodbridge Village Association in celebration of the community’s 50th anniversary. Woodbridge Village, developed by the Irvine Company, broke ground in 1975 and was master‑planned so residents would always be within a 10‑minute walk of a park, pool, or lake. The community was uniquely designed around two large man‑made lakes—North Lake and South Lake—providing lakefront access for all residents.
On a sunny morning in June 1976, more than 10,000 people lined up for a lottery to purchase one of the first 350 homes in the newly opened Woodbridge Village—an event that drew national attention.
Today, Woodbridge is home to about 30,000 residents and remains one of Irvine’s most desirable places to live, featuring the two lakes, a shopping center, and 41 recreational facilities connected by trails and bike paths. The community spans 1,700 acres in the heart of Irvine.
Congratulations to Woodbridge Village and all the wonderful people who call it home on this special milestone!
