Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. Please share it with any of your friends who might be interested in the county and what we can do to be helpful. We're in March, and Spring is around the corner! My office and I have been busy, hosting town halls and participating in community forums to provide our constituents with updates on county projects and activities. I also had the opportunity to address third graders about civics at the annual "Gift of History" event at the Nixon Library. It is always a pleasure to meet the young people who will be the future of our great county. |

FORENSIC AUDIT REPORT EXPOSES ADDITIONAL CORRUPTION BY FORMER SUPERVISOR DO, CONFIRMS COMPLIANCE BY OTHERS (Santa Ana, CA) – Supervisor Wagner is gratified to see that Phase 1 of the independent external forensic audit of Andrew Do's contracts demonstrated that his own office properly had transparently disclosed and accounted for all of the discretionary funds entrusted to him. The residents of District Three were well served by the handling of tax dollars made available to Supervisor Wagner during the COVID crisis and at other times. “The handling of District Three contracts by my staff and me,” said Wagner, “stands in stark contrast to how Supervisor Do did business. Our auditors, Weaver and Tidwell, LLP, reviewed 145 contracts totaling more than $486 million related to the ex-Supervisor. Sadly, they found more misconduct, this time related to the Arts Relief Program and the Tet and Moon Festival. I hope the county is able to recover every dollar misspent by Do.” Wagner continued, “Since the discovery of Andrew Do’s crimes, the county has updated its Code of Ethics and Contract Policy Manual and made other adjustments to ensure greater oversight of the contract procurement process, closer tracking of the disclosure we have practiced all along. “The initial findings of this investigation have shown that former Supervisor Do’s corruption goes beyond that for which he is now serving federal prison time. I am deeply disturbed by these findings and hope that the ongoing audit process uncovers any and all other criminal conduct. From Day One of my time on the Board, I have been transparent and meticulous about all contracts my office enters, ensuring the public is aware of what their tax money supports. It is imperative that this audit is completed thoroughly to determine whether any more tax dollars have been stolen.” Supervisor Wagner remains committed to upholding transparency and accountability throughout this process and will continue to keep the public informed as new developments arise. |

Saint Patrick's Day honors the Catholic bishop credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland. It also serves as a celebration of Irish heritage and culture, something I proudly share with many residents of Orange County. Wishing everyone a joyful and safe Saint Patrick's Day! |

GIFT OF HISTORY PROGRAM AT THE NIXON LIBRARY |
GIFT OF HISTORY PROGRAM AT THE NIXON LIBRARY |
I had the opportunity to welcome 300 third grade students from several Orange County School Districts to the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda. The program was also live-streamed to 293 third grade classes around the OC. The Children’s Education Foundation of Orange County has facilitated the award-winning Gift of History program since 2007. Its goal has always been to make Orange County’s rich history come alive for all third-grade students. To do this, they adopted Orange County historian Stan Oftelie's “Nothing Rhymes with Orange,” a unique history book designed specifically for third-grade readers that follows state curriculum guidelines and standards. This was a very special morning for me. It is always a pleasure to meet the young people who will be the future of our great county. |

I also want to thank owner Al Ricci for his gracious hospitality. With his decades of expertise in both buying and selling homes, Al is a cornerstone of our local real estate community. |

FOOTHILL COMMUNITIES ASSOCIATION ANNUAL TOWN HALL MEETING |
I recently participated as the keynote speaker for the Foothills Communities Association’s 2026 Annual Town Hall Meeting to discuss pressing issues facing the North Tustin community. Attendees were updated on my work throughout the Third District – such as establishing the new Orange County Animal Response Team, advocating for the county’s own Veterans Cemetery, and cutting the ribbon on the long-awaited Crawford Canyon Park. I was also a part of a larger panel of public officials to answer questions directly from the audience on a variety of different issues. It’s always a pleasure to join the Foothills Communities Association every year for this town hall. Thank you to all those who joined us, especially those who helped organize such a successful event. |

ERIC SHIN ELECTION TO SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES |
My intern, Eric Shin, was recently elected by his student peers at Irvine Valley College and Saddleback College to represent them on the South Orange County Community College District’s Board of Trustees as the Student Trustee. For the 2026-2027 school year, he will represent over 50,000 students across the three SOCCCD campuses while maintaining relations with the Associated Students of Irvine Valley College and the Associated Student Government of Saddleback College. He’s told me that he’ll advocate for fiscal responsibility alongside stronger resource allocations to ensure a timely, successful transfer process for students. I know that College District and Board well, having served on it in my own career. My whole office staff and I thank Eric for his service to the Third District and wish him success in his endeavors as he officially takes his spot on the Board of Trustees this coming May. |
